Kroger Announces the Sale of Kroger Specialty Infusion to Elevance Health

What is changing with my specialty medication prescriptions?

As you may have seen, on March 18, 2024, Kroger announced the sale of the Kroger Specialty Infusion Business to Elevance Health. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, however, closing is expected in the latter part of 2024. After the transaction closes, certain prescriptions will migrate to BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, which is owned by Elevance Health. This will ensure that your care will continue uninterrupted.

What do I need to do to keep receiving my medications?

There is nothing you need to do. Please be assured that during this transition, Kroger Specialty Infusion will continue to fill your medications as usual. As closing approaches we will provide more information about this migration.

Do I need to notify my doctor?

We are already in touch with your prescribing physician. When it’s time to transfer your prescription, a Kroger Specialty Infusion or BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy representative will contact you to guide you through your next refill with BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy. This will ensure that your care is not interrupted.
